Booking Policies

Waiver Form Policy
To skate with one of Ollie North Skate Coaching instructors, a waiver form is necessary. Please note if the form has not been received, we have a no waiver, no skate policy.

Bookings
All bookings are currently through direct contact via our website or phone contact. An online booking system will be introduced soon. We kindly ask that you be prompt when choosing dates and ensure that you're able to attend the class you've booked. Please book carefully..

Wet Weather Policy
To ensure a safe learning environment, we will proceed with lessons after wet weather only if the ground is completely dry and free of moisture. If this condition is not met, we will contact you to reschedule your lesson.
Please note that Ollie North Skate Coaching reserves the right to reschedule lessons at our discretion. We will notify you as soon as possible before the lesson if we need to reschedule.

Refund Policy
We are a small independent-owned business that relies on participant numbers to sustain the service we provide. When you book an allocated group class through us, you are reserving a spot that is no longer available to another person, which is why we cannot offer a credit or refund for a change of mind. We do not offer refunds on any bookings or purchases only under the exemption if there are adverse weather conditions or in the case of a serious injury, illness or emergency.

Cancellation Policy | Classes
If you choose to cancel your class without 12 hours notice , you will forfeit the full amount paid for the class. In a true unavoidable emergency, such as illness or injury, we may reschedule and make other arrangements at our discretion upon a sighted medical certificate only.

No Show
Failure to attend a group or private lesson will result in a booking fee charge. Please book attentively.

Arrival Policy
To ensure a productive and safe lesson, we kindly request that all students arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled lesson to allow time for check-in and to put on any protective gear. Late arrivals will result in a shortened lesson.

Full attendance policy
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and students may not be able to complete the full hour-long lesson. In such cases, we will make every effort to accommodate the student's needs within the allotted time. However, if a student is unable to attend the full lesson/class, a refund or credit cannot be issued.

Rescheduling Policy | Private Lessons
For private lessons, our coaches require at least 48 hours notice for rescheduling. Please get in touch with your coach directly using the contact details in your original confirmation email.

Group Lesson Suitability
We provide classes for different skill levels and abilities to ensure that all participants learn at their appropriate level. While we do our best to accommodate everyone's needs, in group classes, we focus on the skill level of the majority. If you have specific needs or concerns, please let us know when booking, so we can provide you with the best learning experience.

Parental Supervision
If you are booking for a participant under 5 years of age, or a participant who needs extra support, we require the parent or guardian to accompany the participant during the whole duration of that class. Participants under the age of 10 must not be left unattended during the session.

Class Expectations
We offer casual classes that anyone can book at any time. Skateboarding skills can vary greatly among each participant, and while we strive to prepare and structure a casual class, we may need to tailor the session to the participants who have booked in for that particular session. When you book a class, we kindly request that you take into consideration that we may encounter situations where participants' skill levels are incompatible, and we will do our best to meet the needs of everyone in the class.

Behaviour Policy
At our skateboard classes, we prioritise safety, respect, and a positive learning environment for all participants. To ensure everyone's enjoyment and progress, we have established the following behaviour policy. By attending our classes, you agree to abide by these guidelines:

Respect Others:
a. Treat all participants, instructors, and staff with respect, courtesy, and inclusiveness.
b. Avoid any form of bullying, harassment, or disrespectful behaviour, including derogatory language, teasing, name calling or physical aggression.
c. Listen attentively to the instructors, follow their guidance, and cooperate with other participants during group activities.
d. Maintain a positive attitude, show enthusiasm, and encourage others.
e. Avoid disruptive behaviour that hampers the learning experience of others.

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities:
a. Parents or guardians are responsible for the behaviour and actions of their children attending the skateboard classes.
b. Ensure that the participant understands and follows the behaviour policy.
Breach of the behaviour policy after two attempts of guidance will lead to a temporary removal from the class and a constructive conversation with a parent/guardian. Continued breaches despite corrective efforts may result in permanent expulsion from Ollie North Skate Coaching. Our instructors and staff are committed to upholding this policy in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Photography and Filming Policy
Throughout programs and skate lessons, filming and photography may occur for business and marketing purposes. Please advise if you do not wish for this to happen.
